Success story: The Associated Press

Challenge

The Associated Press wanted to expand its Money & Markets service by providing more graphs to member newspapers in its signature designs. Producing them by hand every night was impossibly time-consuming.

Solution

Using its graphing system, Custom Flow Solutions delivered a solution that created all of AP’s graphs every night in seconds. Because the graphs were Adobe Illustrator files, they could still be edited by hand when needed, and member newspapers received high-quality PostScript graphs with plenty of time to print them the next day.

Result

The project saved AP staff hours of work every day and made the graphs available to member newspapers hours earlier than before. CFS support kept the system in working order and tuned it as needed.
