Success story: Fidelity Investments

Challenge

Fidelity Investments’ creative department produced sales presentations in PDF format. It was largely a manual process of assembling long documents from individual slides, some stock and some custom, many containing graphs. Looking to reduce the strain on an overworked team and the time each presentation took, Fidelity contacted Custom Flow Solutions.

Solution

Custom Flow Solutions installed HyperGraph for Financial Services, which automated much of the work of producing individual slides and assembling them into finished presentations.

Result

After six months, the workload had fallen so far that two of the seven staff devoted to sales presentations moved to other roles, while the number of presentations increased. Lead time per presentation was cut by 50%.

HyperGraph was later customized so managers across the company could enter quarterly data into an SQL database. HyperGraph generated the charts, placed them and the text into page templates and produced a PDF. Because managers’ data flowed straight into the charts, human error in production was eliminated.
